Feeding Hands provides all Thanksgiving items, including dessert, to over 260 pre-registered families, so they can prepare a meal to celebrate Thanksgiving with their family.
Opportunities to Feed the Need for Thanksgiving
**Volunteers are needed in all areas for both Manville and Somerville Locations.**
Distribution will take place Saturday, November 23rd at both Emmanuel Church 100 Grant Ave. Somerville and Manville Reformed Church 238 S 5th Ave Manville. When filling out the volunteer information, please specify which location you would like to volunteer at. We will need many hands between 8am and 6pm with shifts of 3 hours in various locations. Setup team, station help, sign-in desk, escorts, prayer team, greeters, break down and clean up. There is space for everyone to help from introverts to extroverts. (If you have never volunteered with us, you must fill out an application prior to selecting a shift. Prior volunteers can login using the email provided to us on your prior application to select your shift.)
Through the Adopt-a-Family program sponsored by Somerset County Board of Freeholders. $40 feeds a family in need.
