2025 was tough in many ways. But Feeding Hands staff, volunteers, and donors were up to the challenge yet again! As federal budget cuts reduced support, the Feeding Hands community found new food sources and served more people than ever. We continue to shine with our culture that is not just transactional but is transformational, standing on our values:

We see that difference in our guests every week, like when we helped a grandmother restore her disabled grandchildren’s Medicaid after they were orphaned.

Our volunteers come for many reasons, but once immersed in our culture, they stay for the long term. Over smiles, personal stories, and authentic care, our volunteers create relationships with every guest. One volunteer schedules veterinary appointments for a guest’s pet. Another volunteer, who always brings a guest’s favorite food, shared: “Being here is the best part of my week! My job pays my bills. Feeding Hands gives me purpose and meaning.”

We opened an additional satellite location in Warren to coordinate weekly services to Northern Somerset County, including serving disabled veterans at the VA in Lyons. With Warren, we now operate five distribution sites.
